If you want to apply any of your 2021 overpayment to your 2022 Wisconsin return:
- In your state interview, you’ll reach a screen titled A few things before we wrap up your state taxes
- Scroll down and select Start to the right of Handling of Overpayment
- On the Overpayment to Credit to 2022 Tax page, you’ll be asked to enter the amount of your refund to be carried forward to next year’s taxes. Enter your desired amount
- Select Continue
- Continue through the rest of your state tax interview
