I'm filing with online TurboTax (Self-Employed) and wish to e-file. I'm at the step titled "Let's make sure everything is accurate". It found a couple items and presents a button "Fix Federal Return". When I click that, it shows a 1099-DIV entry from Charles Schwab and "Check This Entry" and a form view within a viewing box. It's complaining about the Payer zip code. In comparing form content with my 1099-DIV, I notice it's showing the wrong STATE code. It should be Colorado (CO) and the zip shown is correct for that. However, the state shown is Oregon (OR). So the TurboTax algorithm assumes the zip is wrong. TurboTax won't allow me to edit the state field. It only allows me to edit the zip field.
I'm trying to figure out how OR was entered. The 1099-DIV it's complaining about is under the "Investments and Savings" section of Income. When I go in there and edit the 1099-DIV, there isn't even a place for the Payer address to be input. So I can't correct it.
Apparently you can't edit the form directly with the online version. So how can I fix this???
