1099-NEC for spiff money forcing me to create a business
I worked for a lumber company and one of our vendors would have Spiff programs which would gie us money on a debit card for each box (kitchen cabinet) we sold of their brand. I received the 1099-NEC for an amount under $1000. When I try to enter this in Turbo Tax, I appear to be forced to declare I am a business or independent contractor. and fill out business forms. What is the best way to enter this income? I am not a business, and I am not a contractor so I am very confused as to how I should complete this entry.
