This looks like a bug in TT. It is clearly in that IRS statement referenced earlier in this thread that many will not receive the Schedule K-3 maybe until next year, but the TT software does not handle the case of receiving a Schedule K1 with the box 16 checked but not yet received K3. Why TT insists on making this an error that will prevent filing and not adding instead another question to the software such as "Did you receive the schedule K3" and will not block you filing if you select no. This looks like a clear bug to me that TT does not handle the guidance on potential missing K3 from IRS.
