1. I am an F1 holder currently studying for my PhD as a Graduate Research Assistant on 50% FTE. I entered the US in January 2021 and have been in Colorado ever since. My school records say that I am a non-resident alien for tax purposes and they have recommended that foreign nationals use Sprintax.
Can I use Turbotax for my filing, given my status? Would this be illegal?
