To report the sale of your house in TurboTax follow these steps. TurboTax will automatically populate the required fields on your return using the information you provide.
- Log into your TurboTax account.
- Select the Wages & Income tab.
- Scroll down to less common income select Show more.
- On the line sale of home (gain or loss) select Start/Revisit
- On the next screen Sale of Your Main Home select yes.
- Follow the prompts to enter your sale information.
