Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Update of Crash: (Short, Yes, it still crashes under new Mac admin account with a fresh re-install)
More Detail:
I did create a new account on my MacBook Pro (Intel version running Big Sur) with admin privileges re-installed TurboTax for Home & Business 2021, imported last years tax data (the Turbotax 2021 saved file was not able to be imported). Restarted my taxes from importing 2020 (last years TurboTax data) and able to work on the file for a full day. Saved the file and closed TurboTax.
Today TurboTax crashed again with the same exact error message.
What was specifically very notable was that it crashed in almost the same exact location of where my original crash occurred. That location is when working under Personal > Personal Income > Miscellaneous Income (1099C or 1099A). I was typing in a field about 5 or 6 entries down when the error message come up.
Any advice what to do at this point? I really believe there may be TurboTax software coding error in the 1099 Miscellaneous section for the Mac that is causing the program to crash repeatedly. I never previously ever used these fields in previous years so for it to crash repeatedly on almost the exact same area on a new import and after fresh install leads me to believe it has nothing to do with my data).
I really need to get my taxes done - any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.
