If you are getting a needs review and nothing you do is eliminating the error, then I suggest that you go back to where the 1099-G is entered and delete the 1099-G and then re-enter the 1099-G. Sometimes there is something that is hanging up in the return that just by deleting and re-entering the document in question, fixes the problem.
To get back to where you would have entered the 1099-G:
- Go back into TurboTax if not already signed in and go to the Federal section of your return;
- Then go to the Income and Expense section;
- Scroll down to Unemployment and click on Update
- On the next screen click on Delete next to the 1099-G
- After it is deleted then click on Add a Government Payment
- Re-enter the 1099-G and this should take care of your problem.
