Turbo Tax Self-Employed doesn't have the option to file quarterly
After doing some research, it looks like if I'm doing Freelance work, I need to file taxes on a quarterly basis so I looked here and I followed the "Start for free" link but after logging in, takes me to a screen that tells me about my previous tax return (2021) but does not give any option to file. Now being April 1st, I'd think we're around the end of the first quarter but the screen looks identical to if I was employed by a company and filing on an annual basis.
I understand with freelancing there's both the quarterly taxes that are filed as well as annual, is Turbo tax Self-Employed only for the annual taxes that are filed? I had talked to support and they had recommended the Turbotax Home & Business software but I don't see the point of this page that outlines "TurboTax self-employed" if it's the same thing as standard Turbotax.
I looked around this forum and found a question similar to mine here and it says TurboTax Self-Employed and Home & Business are the same thing, so my question is: if the page I referenced to earlier here just leads to the same TurboTax I've been using and Self Employed and Home & Business are the same thing then what's the difference between any of these? Do any of them give you the option to file on a quarterly basis?
