Get your taxes done using TurboTax

@MarilynG It doesn't matter that "it works for a lot of people", it matters that there is a bug for a subset of people using the Desktop version. Here is a thread of multiple people reporting this problem, yet TT won't create a case for it. I added my response there but plainly put:

  • The desktop integration with E*Trade is broken
  • TT reps (when you call) say they haven't seen any case open for this
  • After talking to technical support they confirm that the integration is broken and recommend a MANUAL summary entry

I didn't pay for Premier to manually enter my data. I've been able to integrate with my brokerage for the past 10 years, and this is the first time this bug has happened, and yet there is no work to try and fix it. The many people I talked to at TT for the past 2 hours all said they can't open a case because there is a "workaround".

I find this bad product management. If you have a bug (especially a big one where you can't import crucial tax data), you report the bug and have a workaround. I'm fine with there being a workaround but NO ONE would open a case for this issue and I am perplexed why this is.

So yes, this works for some people, but when a key functionality of one of your top highlighted partners isn't working, I think it is work admitting that there is a bug and saying you will (or will not) work to fix it.
