It is not working.
To repeat I have desktop TurboTax Premier.
I have followed your steps to the letter, and it I am not getting 8582.
It is first time I am doing taxes myself.
Until now, a friend of mine was doing that for me., but he is unavailable this year.
I have copies of the returns he was preparing, and he was getting 8582,
All of the K1s , except one which is done manually, are downloaded and they are in the required by TurboTax format.
I verified after the downloads, and all K1s are are OK in TurboTax.
Then, after all the K1 info is in, I go one by one thru, them and checkmark that they are at risk and that there are passive losses for previous years. Then for each K1, I put the passive loss carried over.
This does not generate 8582.
