So I was having the same issues with COVID-19 distributions repayment. What I did was, in the TurboTax tools, I cleared and started over. From my experience with TurboTax, sometimes when there are updates or new forms are added to the software, the software doesn't mesh well if you already started the filing process before the updates were released.
It is a bit cumbersome, so before I cleared and started over, I made sure to write down all the expenses/amount (if you are itemizing) that I had previously inputted because I didn't feel calculating again. Once I started over, now everything works! The 1/3 distribution is added to the gross income and you can enter the repayment amount and it is adjusted properly.
In short, just clear and start over, and you will be good to go. Hope this helps everyone.
