Get your taxes done using TurboTax
In 2020 I took out money from my retirement fund (401K) due to COVID and completed Form 8915E on my taxes last year. I noticed on the form it carried my distribution over to both Column A & B of this form and taxed me on 1/3 of the withdrawal last year which is great. I chose to spread the taxes out for 3 year. Now when I complete 8915F for the other 1/3 amount to be taxed, where do I get the figure that they need for Line 12. Do I enter the amount that I was taxed on last year on Line 12 and Line 13. Form 8915F also states to enter Line 4, column b amounts. Do I just leave this blank or enter the amount that carried over on 8915E last year which shows the entire amount that I took out of my retirement. As mentioned, this amount showed in both Column A & B on my form last year.
I also received the message to complete 8915 E-T again, but I just deleted that form since I completed it last year.
Please advise ASAP.
Thanks,
