Okay Thinking i got this figured out
What i did was when last years tax return was tranferred it was showing the 25000 1099r from last year. I deleted it and went through the questions and said no i do not have any of these 1099r, since we did not cash any in this year, asked if i took the prior year, said yes clicked the box it was coronavirus and put 1/3 of the amount on both line 9 boxes. It now does not ask me the FEMA or dates questions and on my 1040 it shows pension amount of 8333.
Getting no errors during the federal review check. Was hoping to pay the remainder this year and not have to deal with this again next year. Nothing is easy when the government is involved.
I think the problem i was having was it brought over the 1099r from last year, once i deleted that, things worked better.
