Form 8812 is used to calculate the alternative refundable credit known as “the additional child tax credit”.
If that does no apply to you:
- Login to your account.
- Select federal Taxes.
- Go to Deductions and Credits.
- Scroll down to Child and Other Dependent Tax Credit.
- Click Continue and on the next screen We'll start off with advance Child Tax Credit payments, select No
