First consider this, and it may avoid a re-activation request. If you had already activated it previously, and now it's asking you to activate again, this can often be because of a USB device (external drive, printer, etc.) being recently inserted (or turned on) when that USB device was not present (or not turned on) when the software was originally installed. TurboTax would then see that as a change in the system and ask to re-activate. It also can happen in reverse; i.e., if you had a USB device present during installation, but have since removed it (or turned it off), it may also ask for reactivation. One user it even said happened to him with one of those little SD memory cards.
That re-activation request happened to me once (except no 606 error) when I forgot I had left a USB thumb drive in, so it asked to re-activate. When I removed it, it launched normally.
