Charitable contibutions not copied to New York state return
For my 2020 taxes, Turbo Tax automatically copied the $300 max charitable contributions from 1040 line 10b over to my New York state return. (I took the standard deduction). Now I'm doing 2021 taxes and I have the same $300 on my federal return. This year on 1040 line 12b. But it was not automatically copied over to my New York return (that I can tell). The federal adjustments line (line 18) on the NY IT-201 form is blank.
Is that a TurboTax error this year? Or was it a TT error in 2020? I don't think the NY law changed. I looked on the NYS department of taxation website and it shows the same instructions for both 2020 and 2021.
Thanks.
