I finally solved my problem. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how. I have spent three hours trying to get the correct 1/3 income from the "coronavirus disaster" and form 8915F entered into the 1040. I kept playing with different scenarios. Finally, I put in my husband's 1099R from last year, went thru the prompts, checked 8915F--of course it was wrong. I deleted it and started again answering the questions. Somehow it updated everything correctly--I'm amazed! I manually printed the 8915F from the IRS, followed the prompts, and compared methods. The 1/3 is added correctly in both the 8915F and on the 1040 in TurboTax, so now I can FINALLY submit my taxes! Of course, I'm wondering just how long it's going to take now that it's the end of March. I do know that this is the worse experience I've ever had with TurboTax, and I've used them for a decade now. Horrible experience!
