Thanks for the response. For what it's worth, your 8615 does not look like the 8615 that turbotax has added to my children's Federal Forms.
Assuming the forms are otherwise equivalent, this particular wizard does not seem to be dealing with line 9 from the parents, our information it has already been filled in as part of another wizard (and appears in something called the 8615 D Wks and is reflected in a line 9 amount).
This is specifically referencing the other child's Schedule D, which does not exist. I'm going to assume the "has to file" language in your response means that it is entirely possible the children have not had to file a Schedule D and I can leave it blank, thank you.
