Guys,
I’m the one who entered COVID in the FEMA disaster field when that error came up in the early AM hours of 3/24, and I was able to e-file and both fed/state have accepted my return. Since then, I’ve seen a lot of discussion on this thread that has me worried.
My 8915-F looks like this, according to the field letters/numbers
A. X 2021
B. X 2020
C. (1) COVID
8. X NO
12. 1/3 of my distribution
13. same as above ^
15. same as above ^
16. X NO
And that’s it. Did I do it wrong?
For context, this was a 401k distribution with no repayments.
If I did do it wrong, what then? I have to amend it? And if I don’t - will the IRS tell me it’s wrong?
