Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Good News / Bad News -

Good News - Form 8915-F is now incorporated into TurboTax - I can see both Taxpayer and Spouse versions in the Forms view and when I use the EasyStep view and revisit the 1099 Income section it asks all the correct questions.

Bad News - It does NOT work.  There is a software bug.  It fills part of the form in correctly but it does NOT populate boxes 23, 24, 25 or 26.  I can NOT even add values to these boxes in the "Forms" view.

You can go through the software, it won't fill in the form correctly or recompute the tax owed but does NOT flag any errors and will let you file.  Do NOT file yet or you will most likely get a nasty surprise from the IRS.

TurboTax - please file a bug and get this fixed ASAP.  What is the standard ETA on bug fixes for this kind of issue?

I could always opt for TurboTax's accuracy guarantee - then I guess I would not have to pay any penalties 🙂

Thanks,

Alex
