The final result was being given the answer that you must run as root (Admin) even though for years you didn't need to do so for TurboTax. Any competent Mac (or Unix) programmer will know that having to run as root is a totally unacceptable answer for any program other than System administration tools. It is a critical system security risk! I posted here hoping to get an answers from someone who might at least be knowledgeable about Macs.
TurboTax for Mac has always required administrator rights.
