Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Did you have unemployment last year? An empty Form 1099-G may have transferred in from your prior year return. Delete the Form 1099-G if it is preventing you from filing, but only if you did not have unemployment this year. If you did receive unemployment this year as well, you may have 2 forms with only one of them with any data. Search for 1099-G, then use the Jump to 1099-G link to get to that section. You should see a list of your Form 1099-Gs and you can delete anything that should not be there. If you have 2 listed, review them both so you delete the empty one and not the one you need.
If you search for unemployment, you will see a few pre-screening questions about government and non-government unemployment. Be sure to read those carefully. If you do not have unemployment this year, you need to answer those questions with a NO in order to remove the entry (and review check) in TurboTax.
