My Fidelity combined 1099 statements do not import properly into TurboTax. Last year I hired a CPA and it saved me $30k! Same problem this year. How to fix it?
Many Fidelity trades have inaccurate or incomplete information. TurboTax flagged a few of them to review but I found out they all were missing adjusted cost basis information among other things. This is so bad I had someone else file for me last year and saved me $30,000 or so. Same problem this year. I prefer doing these myself but it looks like I will have to delete all Fidelity 1099 forms and enter them line-by-line by hand. Is there a way to fix this? A better and faster way to import forms from Fidelity? Or a spreadsheet view I can enter into faster than the TurboTax form where I have to click-click-click for every piece of data I want to enter?
