TT Deluxe Desktop Version, Windows:
I was the Primary on our joint 2020 return, my spouse died in Feb. 2020 thus he had to be listed secondary. In the 2021 software, TT auto filled my personal info correctly as Single, Widow. My late husband is correctly NOT listed. There is a red exclamation mark in the Forms column next to my SSA-1099. All my entries are correct (I entered them using Step-by-Step). Under a column for Spouse, several boxes are highlighted in yellow. I had no Spouse in 2021 so why the red exclamation mark? What can I do to override it?
There are also four other 1099s in the Forms column with red exclamation marks but they are blank except for my name at the top of each. How can I remove these Forms since the accounts that existed in early 2020 were closed and consolidated into one in my name. I have one 1099-R for that company but TT shows four other blank forms with red exclamation marks. Thank you to anyone who can solve my problem.
