TurboTax requires Form 8812 this year.
There are some people who received the Advance Child Tax Payments, but will not be eligible for the credit and/or not claim dependents on their 2021 Tax Year Return.
In order to avoid a taxpayer from getting penalized for not reporting payments and pointing out the "TurboTax never asked" TurboTax is asking all Taxpayers.
If Form 8812 has no bearing on your return, it will not be transferred nor printed with your 1040.
A copy is in your set of Forms to show due diligence on the part of TurboTax.
This should be isolated to Tax Year 2021.
