I have a wife and two children. In September 2019 she left me and we are still in the divorce proceedings.
She filed Married filing Jointly but it has inaccurate and incomplete income. She did it without my knowledge. I only found about it today. As best I can recall, I filed in 2019 but the IRS does not seem to have a copy of it. TurboTax online has something but I can't look at without paying.
I'm now trying to file for 2019, 2020, and 2021 -- starting with 2019. As best I know, there is no agreement that my wife gets the child credits but I'm fairly sure she took them.
The IRS has already advised me to fill out paperwork reporting my wife's activities. But I don't know how to fill out the 2019 tax returns.
