Is it safe to ignore some stupid Smart check errors?

Hi,

I did some back and forth with F2555 (foreign income exclusion) and F1116 (foreign tax credit) on the desktop app, and landed in a state where the smart check is asking me to fix 2555 errors.

Now, following advices posted as replies to my other queries, I just entered the foreign earned income and elected "Neither of us" when asked whose foreign income should be excluded. On selecting this option, the online version takes you to a dialogue where you are asked whether you'd want to go ahead with deleting the F2555 form so created behind the scenes. However, that ,confusingly, doesn't happen on the desktop app. It silently returns to the Deductions & Credits section (This inconsistency between desktop app and the portal is so frustrating 😓 by the way). So, as a workaround I just deleted the form 2555 from the tools section (thank goodness, the desktop app at least allows this). But not so fast. The stupid smart check thingy flags a discrepancy with the F2555, even though the latter is erased from the face of the earth.

QUESTION : Should I just ignore the smart check suggestion and go ahead with filing?
