I have a 1099R that was to be rolled over, but the payment was not made to trustee to trustee. When questioned the check they said just give it to your Broker and they will put into your IRA. The distribution code is a "7" and no second code but this causes taxes on the whole amount. I entered a second code of "G" which made it a roll over and no taxes. Now after running error check, it does not like the "G" code. How to I fix this issue?
