You probably have a 1099-DIV carryover from last year. You can simply delete this out.
Go to - Personal - Personal Income
- I'll choose what I work on
- Scroll to Interest & Dividends
- Select Dividends on 1099-DIV
- You should see the record that you want to delete = Select Delete
- This will clear the blank 1099-DIV from your tax return.
