I have reviewed my federal return, and it has been approved by the turbotax program and is ready to file. I want to file both federal and NC state 2021 returns electronically. In reviewing my North Carolina return in the program, I am informed by the software that I cannot check the direct deposit box to receive the overpayment because it is a paper return. It isn't. I have used turbotax for many years and have for the last several years filed both federal and state returns electronically. I haven ever experienced this problem before. I do not know where in the program to change whatever needs to be changed, if anything, to permit me to file the return electronically. Please help me. Thank you.
