I also need the answer to the same question. My concern, if 1095A is manually modified with SLCSP, and is different than the form received from healthcare.gov, would the IRS flag that? Further more, here is the extract from i8962 instruction form: The two situations
in which your SLCSP may not be accurately reflected on your
Form 1095-A are the following.
1. No APTC was paid for your coverage. If no APTC was
paid for your or your family member’s coverage, the SLCSP
premium reported in Part III, column B, lines 21 through 32, of
Form 1095-A may be wrong, left blank, or reported as -0-. To
determine your applicable SLCSP premium for each month, see
Pub. 974 or, if you enrolled through the federally facilitated
Marketplace, go to HealthCare.gov/Tax-Tool/. ,
I believe form 8962 has to be decoupled from form 1095-A for just these situation. I do not know if TT is allowing that decupling. Any intelligent answer is appreciated.
