Thank you, Kat, for your comments. They make a lot of sense.
I guess the main reason why I file my returns early in the season (in addition to just “getting it out of the way”) is because non-TurboTax tax experts have been encouraging people to file early in order to reduce the risk of tax fraud by criminals seeking to steal your identity.
I guess like most everything else, one has to weigh the pros and cons of filing early.
