Line 13a of IRS Form 8812 states:
(A) Check here if you (or your spouse if married filing jointly) had a principal place of abode in the United States for more than half of 2021.
"Abode" means one's home, habitation, residence, domicile, or place of dwelling.
- Go to Federal / Deductions & Credits / Your tax breaks / You and your family / Advance payments, Child Tax Credit....
- Click Start / Edit / Add to the right.
- Answer the 'abode' question at the screen Let's start with where you spent the most time in 2021.
