@BarryGraham You don't need an accountant if you are not in a rush. Your choice. If you need it 6 weeks before filing deadline then a DIY product may not be best for you. Intuit had the form ready 02/26/2021 last year. I get it, it is frustrating when I assume how a company is going to perform and I make decisions on incomplete knowledge.
I knew they didn't have the form ready until March last year before I purchased their service this year. I mean let's be frank, did you even know that the IRS was going to revamp the 8915 series of forms so completely and not release then until first week of February? I didn't.
Put the blame where it goes, the IRS and it's ridiculous tax code.
