Executor fees are entered in this way:
- Income & Wages
- Less common income
- Miscellaneous income....start/update
- Other reportable income
- Any other taxable income...includes executor fees as one of the examples. Say Yes here and you will be able to enter the income on the next screen. Use a description such as "executor fee for Estate of John Smith " and the amount.
This amount will appear on line 6 of Form 1040 which comes from the Schedule 1 line 21.
