What should I make the direct debit date? I'm told it needs to be one day after I transmit but "make sure the date is...no later than April 15 to avoid penalties."

I need to file today and would like to direct debit electronically, pay my tax bill, and avoid any penalty/interest. TurboTax wants me to change the direct debit date to 4/16.  Is this ok?
