Since you are stuck in a loop. My recommendation would be to delete the 1099-R and then re-enter the 1099-R. Sometimes this is the only way you can get rid of what is hanging up in TurboTax.
To delete the 1099-R:
- Go into the Income and Expenses,
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
- Click on the Revisit button for the 1099-R
- Click Continue to the screen "Your 1099-R Entries"
- Delete the entry of the 1099-R
- Then click "Add a 1099-R"
- Then re-enter the 1099-R
After you have deleted and re-entered the 1099-R, run a Review.
