Let me clarify a little more. Smart check tells me that Line 1 can't be zero and I need to adjust the value. This is even though I didn't enter any value in line 1. I've read 2020 Publication 550 as the 2021 Publication 550 isn't available. Of course the 2020 version didn't help as Turbo Tax should have taken me to the steps mentioned in Pub.550. I've tried various solutions using the check boxes of the next steps in the program. None of the check boxes help in resolving the problem as any value I put in still takes me back to a problem in the Smart Check.
