Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I just received an email from "the office of the President" (Intuit) acknowledging receipt of my complaint and that it has been referred to a case manager.  I don't know if this resulted from my emails to Press Relations personnel or due to my submission of my return for investigation (case number assigned).  At any rate, I just sent the following response to the office of the President email.  See below:

"It is unclear whether you are aware of the problem with Form 8582 in Turbo Tax.  Many, many chatroom posts have been made about inability to file in many states (IA, MD, VA, MO, IN, MA, VT, and likely others).  This would affect thousands of subscribers to TurboTax.  I cannot file for my substantial refund in VA.  I have been able to file my federal return, so the form is acceptable for the IRS.  The longer this takes, the greater the likelihood that someone could illegally file my return.

Subscribers are posting about delays, bad information, changing stories about the source of the problem, etc.  Your customer service folks at Turbo Tax seem to be trying to help us, but they have not been able to get and, thus, not able to help us.  Availability dates for the form keep changing, with different availability dates provided for different states.  Many states show the form as "available" on the Turbo Tax website, but within the program the form is shown as "available soon".

This is terribly frustrating to us as loyal, many year subscribers, but now, more importantly, becoming costly as we would have our state refunds by now.

Your franchise reputation is suffering, perhaps beyond repair for many of long-time users.
