Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I have just emailed the press relations folks at the Intuit corporate headquarters.  See below:

"You may not be aware, but Turbo Tax users in many states are unable to file their state returns because of some sort of problem with Form 8582.

The form is listed as available on your website, but when using the software, we are shown the form as "available soon".  Customer service reps have tried to be helpful, but the explanation they receive when they "escalate" to engineers or others keeps changing.  A form problem.... a software glitch... the form being withdrawn for approval by state, etc., etc.

I live in Virginia and have tried to be patient.  I know for a fact that filers in MA, MO, IN, MD, VA and others are unable to file their state returns.  Many of us have large refunds but are unable to file and receive them.  We have lost confidence in Turbo Tax.  Many are deciding to switch to Tax Act or other software.

I'm surprised this has yet to make it into the mainstream media, Barons, WSJ and other outlets.  Someone, maybe even me, will blow the whistle soon.

You have a HUGE problem brewing and somebody has to explain exactly what is going on.

I have used Turbo Tax for more than 30 years, and am losing confidence and, frankly, am angry about this problem and how we are being treated as customers.  We are being taken advantage of.  We should all be given refunds of this year's subscription.
