If you did not receive a form then follow these steps to enter your lawsuit settlement:
- Login to your TurboTax Account
- Click on "Search" on the top right and type “lawsuit settlement”
- Click on “Jump to lawsuit settlement”
- Answer "Yes" to the question "Any Other Taxable Income?"
- Enter a brief description and the amount
If you have any interest earned on a lawsuit settlement this is also taxable income and should be entered as a Form 1099-INT (search for 1099-INT).
