Get your taxes done using TurboTax
If you have interest or dividend income, both of those income categories have their own section - interest and dividends are often not taxed in the same way ''other income'' is. So, if you have interest and dividends under Other Income (Line 8 of Form 1040), you will want to delete these and enter them in either the Interest Income section or Dividend Income section.
Assuming you are using the desktop software, Use Forms Mode to delete interest and dividend listed in Other Income. Then use the links below to enter your 1099-Int and 1099-Divs in the appropriate section of TurboTax.

Where do I enter Form 1099-INT?
In TurboTax, interest and dividend income has its own category section. The information entered here transfers to Form 1040, Line 2 and 3. As mentioned above, all ''other'' income will show up on Line 8. If you have interest and dividends on Line 8, your tax calculations may be off.
