My wife and I won some money from a lottery scratch-off ticket. Since I was the one who went to the lottery office to claim the winnings, it is my name on the W-2G form. Since it is actually money won by the both of us, can I have the winning claimed on my wife's federal income tax return instead of mine, since we are married but filing separately? We live in Florida.
