My husband is active duty military. We are stationed in VA, but AL residents. My job switched payroll companies (they got bought by another company) in November and didn't refile my Military Spouse Residency Relief Act to not withhold VA taxes, so the W2 from the new company has VA taxes taken out. I can only assume this is what is messing up the AL return, but I did include it on while filing return, so I'm not sure why it's not adding up.
