Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Dear macuser_22,
I am using TT Premier Desktop-entered 4 1099-Rs for 1040SR Lines 5a and 5b. The rounded numbers for 5a are 24,000; 29,041; 3,606; and 64,781which comes out ok at 121,428. The rounded numbers for 5b are 24,000; 29,041; 3,606; and 64,454 which my spreadsheet says is 120,101. My version of Turbotax is showing 120,801 for that value in the worksheet and the 1040SR. I have been searching for an input or math error on my part, but I have not been able to find it. Several times, I have checked the inputs on my spreadsheet, including the relatively simple formula, and the possibility of input errors on the relevant Turbotax pages. Also, I have not seen any extra inputs that would cause a lower figure. Since the first three numbers to add are the same and the fourth varies by 327, I think something else has to be going on to have the columns add up with a difference of 1,327 rather than 327.
At this point, I have run out of things to check and doing the same checks has diminishing returns if unsuccessful. So, I am asking, is there anything else that I can do to figure out what is going on?
