About an hour ago, I came across that solution and it worked. I hope Intuit can get the word out to their tech support staff about this. I spent 45 mins on the phone yesterday with two very nice folks but who did not know of the problem or the solution. They did not know there were M1 Macs AND they thought that deleting the app removed all traces of TurboTax (they knew nothing about the dozens of other files that could be the problem).
The phone support is mainly to answer tax questions and how to use the interview - most have little or no Mac knowledge. It is not easy to get your call escalated to a knowledgeable Mac tech support person.
