I just found another "sort of" work around for those that this messes up their state.
Add all your deductions as usual
Make sure all your info is in and ready to go to the IRS
Run it through the "Analysis" making sure all errors are fixed except the $300
Then run it through again so the only error is the $300. Fix the $300 to $600
DO NOT RUN THE ANALYSIS AGAIN.
I think this fixes both the Fed and the State correctly. It gives me the correct amount of refund for both the Fed and State.
