I got it to work but it takes a few tries (this is the Windows version, not Mac):
- Start TurboTax as Admin on Windows
- Do NOT start QuickBooks
- Get to the spot where you import the QB file in TurboTax and execute that
- Enter your password into QuickBooks
- If the next screen asks about Cash or Accrual, you made it through. If it hangs on "verifying...", then kill the processes and start over, it will never complete by letting it sit.
- If you DO get it to succeed, save your TurboTax file right there so you don't have to deal with it again.
