You need to realize that your refund will be at the same time whether you file today or Jan 31. As long as you are accepted by Jan 31, the refund is issued Feb 11, provided you have no EIC, CTC, stimulus, etc things that have to be cross checked that delay the refund by 2-3 weeks. Hopefully, you can get your w2 online, in a paycheck, or in the mail soon!
The IRS goes in one week cycles so if you miss a Monday, you have until the next Monday to get your return accepted for the same payout day.
